The forum brought together all relevant stakeholders related to parafiscal charges as an important reform area identified in the Economic Reform Program. The debate was about the findings and recommendations produced within the framework of the project.
Participation at the Civil Society Forum for the Western Balkans and Turkey

Our representative Stefan Tanevski participated as a #speaker in the panel on the role of think tanks in the creation of #evidence and the analysis based on #data in the process of creating #policies, presenting many examples from our rich portfolio.
Otherwise, the forum presented the findings of the Baseline Assessment in relation to the guidelines of the Directorate General NEAR for EU support to civil society in the enlargement region 2021-2027.

A workshop for data basis for the index of multidimensional poverty
We held a workshop on the topic “Index of multidimensional (child) poverty: Redesigning, identifying data sources and planning data collection and processing” today in partnership with UNICEF MK.
The workshop aims to open a dialogue with the State Statistics Office / Enti statisti i statistikës and the ministries that have administrative data, to establish a data basis for the calculation of a multidimensional poverty index on a regular basis.
The workshop was conducted by our colleagues Dr. Marjan Petreski and Dr. Bojan Srbinoski.

The objective of the project is to increase capacities of the State Statistical Office for multidimensional child-poverty routine measurement and monitoring, to establish a multi-dimensional stakeholder mechanism for designing more coherent policies and to increase stakeholders’ knowledge and awareness for the importance of multi-dimensional policy approach.

Finance Think is part of a one-week participatory democracy program in Mexico, as a member of the People Powered global hub, together with 80 other practitioners and researchers from around the world.
We share our positive #practices from the implementation of participatory #budgeting in municipalities; at the same time we learn new mechanisms for citizen engagement, new innovative tools, and #network with similar organizations, including the pioneers in participatory budgeting from Porto Alegre, Brazil.
